About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker/Personal Assistant to join our team at Disability North. As a Support Worker/Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling our client to live independently and participate in various activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable our client to get out and about, socialise, and engage in various activities, including going out for meals, watching live bands, and visiting the theatre.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as feeding and holding drinks, and provide support with mobility using a manual wheelchair.
  • Book tickets and make reservations for our client as required.
  • Accompany our client to the nail salon and other appointments.

Requirements

  • Good English and listening skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to push a manual wheelchair.
  • Permission to work in the U.K.
