Senior Development Underwriter Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers in the region, driving new business activity and increasing brand awareness.
  • Review and underwrite new business quotations across all products, ensuring alignment with the company's underwriting appetite and SLAs.
  • Conduct broker visits and underwriting surgeries to establish contacts and promote the company's services.
  • Act as the main escalation point for key brokers, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Liaise with the technical underwriting team and key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Regularly communicate with business development managers and regional directors to develop and maintain broker relationships and strategic planning.
  • Play a key role in setting standards and driving good culture within the region, working closely with the regional director to create a team environment with a clear vision for growth and development.
  • Act as a referral point for underwriters within the wider team, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with the underwriting team to ensure all work is completed within SLAs and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Take a lead role in hospitality and enhancing the reputation of the region and the company as a whole.
  • Take initiative to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals.
  • Work from home with occasional visits to the London office when necessary.
