About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Management team at a school in Barking. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repair, and new works tasks, including statutory and mandatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repair, and new works tasks, including statutory and mandatory compliance.
  • Undertake training and qualify as Authorised or Competent Person for any M&E/fabric components as required.
  • Carry out door inspections across the estate, including fire doors.
  • Work 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in the call-out rota across both schools on the Barking contract.

About You:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician who has a strong background in building services, including all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within large commercial buildings. You will have basic qualifications or good experience in electrical, plumbing, or fabric, and be computer literate. You will also have good communication and customer-focused skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a small team.
