A prominent player in the Aerospace & Defence sector is seeking a talented Structural Analysis Engineer to enhance their Design team.

The design division is responsible for the creation and modification of propulsion systems and associated technologies. This includes the evaluation of propulsion system designs, focusing on performance forecasting, material stress assessments, and the generation of necessary documentation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Structural Analysis Engineer

Technical Duties

  • Conducting assessments of both new and existing propulsion systems, including structural and thermal evaluations of hardware and propellant charges utilizing FEA software.
  • Employing a variety of software tools and programming languages, such as Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks, Fortran, and Matlab.
  • Performing rheological evaluations of material testing outcomes and offering guidance to the technical team for the validation and verification of FEA models.
  • Formulating structural testing plans for propulsion systems and participating in the analysis and interpretation of test results.
  • Acting as the technical authority on structural performance for assigned projects, which includes supporting client meetings, project assessments, design evaluations, and collaboration with client stress engineers.
  • Producing essential project documentation, including structural analysis reports, testing plans, and design records.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Structural Analysis Engineer

  • A degree in an engineering field such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline like Material Science.
  • Knowledge of material science principles.
  • Experience with ABAQUS software in a professional or academic setting.
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling techniques.
