Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Encourage Families: Provide emotional support and encouragement to families, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist families with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and Implement Support Plans: Work with families to develop and implement personalized support plans, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and coordination.
  • De-escalate Challenging Situations: De-escalate challenging situations and provide crisis intervention when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Understanding of Complex Needs: Have an understanding of complex needs, including Autism, developmental delays, physical disabilities, and the emotional effects these may have on families.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
