About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at TribePost Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily inspections of production machinery and rectify mechanical faults and breakdowns.
  2. Undertake regular maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule to minimize machine downtime and maximize productivity.
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain equipment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  4. Monitor records of faults, fabrication of parts, and safety devices.
  5. Support the installation of new machinery and work effectively with external contractors as required.
  6. Ensure all machines operate to expected safety standards and report any issues promptly.
  7. Test and inspect machines and equipment to eliminate production problems.
  8. Carry out routine maintenance checks on all machinery in line with the site maintenance schedule and relevant Health and Safety regulations.
  9. Conduct machine maintenance to the highest standard and apply fixes where possible.
  10. Respond to machine breakdowns promptly and undertake fault finding and fixing breakdowns where possible.
  11. Work with colleagues across Production and other areas to ensure all print machines and equipment are running to targeted output.
  12. Help maintain engineering documentation, including maintenance records, operating procedures, and work instructions.
  13. Assist with the upkeep of the engineering workshop and ensure stock and stock records are maintained correctly.

Requirements:

  1. Right to work in the UK.
  2. Experienced Engineer with a background in high-speed production.
  3. Experience in print or packaging manufacturing desirable but not essential.
  4. Considerable exposure to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards and practices within a production setting.
  5. Relevant qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering.
  6. Good overall standard of education, with minimum GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths.
  7. IT literate with experience of computer-based production technology and basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
  8. Fluent English with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and understand both written and verbal work instructions.
