This is an exciting opportunity to launch a finance career with Hull City Council. The role is part of the Business Finance Team, a collaborative and supportive team that works together to achieve common goals.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop, with strong communication skills and a solid educational background, including literacy and numeracy skills.

The key aspects of this role include:

  • Providing high-quality financial services to managers and senior finance officers to ensure compliance with financial management and accountability requirements, while delivering value for money for the Council.
  • Working closely with senior finance staff to deliver a customer-focused support service that aligns with the objectives and priorities of directorates.
  • Contributing to the production of high-quality financial information, assisting with the monitoring of capital and revenue budgets, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the preparation of the Council's annual accounts.

Hull City Council offers a range of flexible working options, including home working and flexible hours.
