Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other developers to gather requirements and provide technical solutions, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Work on low-latency and high-throughput systems to ensure optimal performance in trading activities, leveraging expertise in multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to market connectivity and trading systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Continuously improve and refactor code to maintain high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability, staying up-to-date with the latest trends in financial technology and trading systems.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of professional Java development experience, ideally within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
  • Experience with low-latency, high-frequency trading systems and market data feeds, as well as solid knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management in Java.
  • Familiarity with message-driven architectures and middleware technologies (e.g., JMS, Kafka), as well as proficiency with version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration (e.g., Git, Maven, Jenkins).
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other financial protocols (e.g., FAST, FIXML) and trading platforms, as well as knowledge of market structure, order types, and trading algorithms.
