Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trainee Manager. As a Trainee Manager, you will be responsible for driving store performance, maximising sales opportunities, and delivering an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance by identifying focus areas and building plans to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
- Optimise KPI performance in store by analysing data and implementing strategies to exceed targets.
- Take ownership of wine knowledge and continuously learn about our products to support WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
- Ensure the physical appearance and maintenance of the store are of the highest standard.
- Participate in all operational tasks to gain a thorough understanding of the day-to-day operations of running a Majestic Wine store.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement changes to optimise store performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and complete mandatory training.
- Be an example of Majestic's Ways of Working and provide support to more junior team members.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial, but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 & 3 WSET wine qualifications.
- Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
