Senior Internal Audit Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our Risk Assurance team at RSM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality internal audit services to a diverse range of clients across the not-for-profit and corporate sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform complex internal audit assignments, including risk management, governance, and process audits.
- Lead and supervise junior staff on individual assignments, providing technical guidance and support.
- Develop and implement audit plans, ensuring compliance with RSM's internal audit standards.
- Prepare high-quality audit reports and working papers, meeting strict deadlines and budgets.
- Assess the performance of team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and improvement within existing client relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in internal audit, with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and internal audit standards.
- Relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, IIA, or ACT.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
