About the Role

As an Academic Support Worker, you will provide essential support to students with disabilities, attending lectures and seminars, and taking accurate notes for those who need them. You'll have the opportunity to learn something new every day and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide note-taking support to students with disabilities, ensuring accurate and legible handwritten notes
  • Review notes at the end of the lecture and format them for easy access
  • Maintain a professional relationship with students and work within the policies and procedures of the institution
  • Act in the best interests of learners at all times
Requirements
  • Have neat handwriting and produce notes in a legible and presentable manner
  • Good typing skills and accurate spelling and grammar
  • Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to work quickly and under time restrictions
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work with students with specific learning difficulties
