Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Scientist/Team Leader to join our team at Ekhuft as a Medical Physics Governance Lead. As a key member of our Medical Physics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our quality system and providing specialist knowledge to drive quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Management: Direct and lead the team in ensuring effective and efficient operation and ongoing registration and certification of the quality system within the department of Medical Physics.
- Provide Specialist Knowledge: Provide specialist knowledge to ensure the Trust's Medical Physics become progressively more effective in the delivery of quality Medical Physics services.
- Quality Assurance: Be the responsible officer for all aspects of quality, standards and governance within the department.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Secure compliance with internal policies and external bodies, and act as the risk manager for the department.
- Training and Development: Provide training in quality management, and professionally manage the deputy quality manager and line manage the quality and governance officer.
- Quality Improvement: Support the department in progressing quality improvement projects in engineering or physics projects depending on the background and experience of the candidate.
