Role Summary:

We are seeking a Culinary Specialist to enhance our kitchen team at Renacres Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional catering services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Experience in a restaurant-style kitchen, particularly in preparing meals for large groups, is essential. Familiarity with healthcare food service environments is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with staff to create nutritious and appealing meal options.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and assist with budgeting.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 706 – 1 / 2 or NVQ equivalent.
  • Current Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Proven experience in kitchen management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
