About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park in Thatcham. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting service users with mental health conditions, managing and supervising junior staff members, and leading on child and adult safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of up to 24 forensic service users with mental health conditions.
- Conduct assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, and Managers Hearings.
- Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance and support.
- Lead and promote child and adult safeguarding, empowering recovery and encouraging service users to engage in their care plans.
- Liaise with external agencies, including MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police, and Probation.
Requirements
- A Social Work qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
- At least 2 years' experience of working in a similar environment.
