Exam Proctor

We are seeking a diligent and responsible Exam Invigilator to join our team at GSL Education. In this vital role, you will ensure that examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with established protocols, contributing to a supportive and orderly environment for students during their assessments.

1. Supervise Examinations: Ensure compliance with examination regulations and maintain a quiet and focused atmosphere.
2. Prepare Examination Rooms: Set up the examination room according to guidelines, including arranging desks, distributing exam papers, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
3. Conduct Identity Checks: Verify student identities and ensure adherence to exam rules, addressing any issues that may arise during the examination.
4. Monitor the Exam Environment: Remain vigilant for any instances of academic dishonesty or irregularities.
5. Provide Support: Assist students as needed, including clarifying instructions and addressing concerns about the examination process.
6. Record and Report Incidents: Document and report any incidents or irregularities to the relevant authorities promptly.
7. Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of all examination materials and results, adhering to data protection regulations.
8. Secure Storage: Assist with the collection and secure storage of completed exam papers and materials after the examination has concluded.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Previous Experience: Demonstrate experience in a similar role or a strong understanding of examination processes.
• Relevant Qualification: Hold a relevant qualification or certification in education or administration.
• Strong Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective Communication: Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Reliability and Punctuality: Be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the exam schedule, including early mornings and potentially weekends.
• Safeguarding Awareness: Show enthusiasm for supporting students in their educational journey and a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
