About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff on the ward
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A live PIN with the NMC UK
  • At least 2 years' experience at band 5
  • Knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health illnesses
  • Ability to work in a rotational shift pattern
  • Membership of the PVG Scheme or Disclosure Scotland checks

We are reducing our full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
