As the Director of Research and Development, you will play a pivotal role within our Central R&D division, collaborating closely with marketing and insights teams to spearhead innovative advancements. You will oversee a dedicated team of two, ensuring that all research and development initiatives are strategically aligned with consumer preferences and business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering interdepartmental collaboration, building partnerships with academic institutions, and investigating emerging food trends to maintain Valeo Foods' competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of R&D specialists, driving the innovation process from ideation to implementation.
- Work in partnership with Insights, Brands, Procurement, and Operations to ground innovation in consumer and customer insights.
- Encourage a robust culture of innovation within the marketing department and the broader organization.
- Represent Valeo Foods at industry conferences, cultivating relationships with academic collaborators.
- Travel as necessary to ensure cohesive execution across all operational sites.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an R&D leader within the food sector.
- Strong analytical capabilities and strategic mindset.
- Demonstrated success in leading and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Proven track record of driving successful innovations and collaborating with senior leadership.
