About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Child and Family Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to families with children experiencing mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of systemic family practice and be able to work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to assess and formulate the nature of presenting mental health issues. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, working in partnership with families to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to families with children experiencing mental health difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to assess and formulate the nature of presenting mental health issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working in partnership with families to achieve positive outcomes
  • Convene, engage, and work systemically and collaboratively with families of children and young people who present with mental health difficulties
  • Develop skills in supporting children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families and educators in the self-management of difficulties
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and young people and their families
  • Delivering therapeutic interventions in a psychological therapy or mental health service
  • Qualifications in Psychology or other relevant health/social care/youth degree
  • Counselling qualification (L5) or other relevant psychological therapy qualification
  • Ability to study at postgraduate/degree level
  • Proven record of previous academic attainment
