Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Engage in the design and enhancement of new workflows while refining current practices to improve time management efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Identify challenges, generate and assess data to propose informed decisions. Document solutions and escalate critical issues to senior procurement staff as necessary.
  • Service Level Management: Ensure that service level objectives, such as fill rates and availability, are consistently achieved.
  • Inventory Oversight: Manage all purchasing activities and related operational aspects of inventory management effectively.
  • Supplier Relations: Establish and nurture productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Order Tracking: Monitor the shipment of purchase orders and take necessary actions in case of unexpected delays.
  • Data Management: Oversee the data flow throughout each phase of a purchase order, including confirmation, estimated shipping dates, and ASN updates. Communicate any changes in delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
  • Delivery Improvement: Assess delivery timelines that require enhancement to prevent shortages and engage in predictive stock-out measures.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Actively participate in PPI initiatives to identify enhancements and cost-saving opportunities, making recommendations for report and process improvements.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage the resolution of delivery discrepancies from suppliers, including short, over, or incorrect products, in collaboration with various warehouses.
  • Data Accuracy: Contribute to maintaining data integrity within the system by raising tickets when necessary.
  • Customer Service Support: Maintain a high standard of internal customer service, assisting customer service teams and other business functions as needed.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Drive improvements in supplier performance using relevant metrics. Conduct weekly performance review calls with suppliers and implement corrective action plans as required.
  • Autonomous Supplier Engagement: Demonstrate independence in managing supplier relationships, particularly in negotiations related to lead times, performance evaluations, stock returns, and direct shipment requests.
  • Proactive Contributions: Actively contribute to enhancing supplier performance reports.
  • Team Development: Participate in the training and onboarding of new team members.
