Job Overview

Are you ready to become an integral part of a rapidly expanding organization?

We are excited to offer a permanent position within our dedicated maintenance team, responsible for delivering essential services to a significant client. This role involves the following responsibilities:

  • Prevent operational disruptions by ensuring equipment reliability
  • Conduct systems analysis on various platforms including S7 PLC, Profibus, ASi-Bus, and EtherCat networks, along with logging data from sorter controllers
  • Execute a variety of electrical and mechanical tasks, utilizing analytical troubleshooting in both proactive and reactive scenarios
  • Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within designated timeframes and to a high standard
  • Identify and resolve faults, while continuously monitoring performance
  • Manage backup and restoration processes for PLC systems
  • Prepare and present detailed reports
  • Oversee operational performance of sorters and implement continuous improvement initiatives as requested by clients
  • Collaborate with site-based colleagues from BEUMER Group
  • Assist with project management and facility operations
  • Provide general support to customers
  • Work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including both day and night shifts
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Engineering, HNC, HND, or ONC Engineering
  • Solid understanding and experience in a comparable role involving PLC, BHS, IT networks, and distributed I/O systems, along with knowledge of conducting health checks on sorters
  • Familiarity with automation machinery, specifically sortation and conveyor systems
  • Understanding of Emergency Stop Systems
  • Knowledge of Safety Supervision Systems
