Accounts Payable Manager - EMEA Region

Our client, a leading insurance firm based in Maidenhead, is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead their AP team across the EMEA region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of supplier and employee transactions while supporting finance projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop a small, high-performing AP team.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of supplier and employee-related transactions across the EMEA region.
  • Review and approve AP transactions and vendor setups.
  • Administer the EMEA Corporate Amex card program.
  • Provide support to the corporate travel program across EMEA.
  • Manage month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.
  • Update and maintain procedure and control documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Contribute to and drive finance projects and initiatives.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven people management experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Relevant accounting experience in a global organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels of the organisation.
  • A self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Confidence to challenge and improve current processes and procedures.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft Financials, ChromeRiver, and Microsoft Office.
