Job Title: Engineering Technical Lead

As an Engineering Technical Lead at Expleo, you will be responsible for managing the engineering team to ensure that all deliverables are achieved in terms of time, cost, and quality. You will integrate all technical functions of the project team to ensure that technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control checking of deliverables.
  • Manage continuous process improvement.
  • Be the technical focal point of the team and build good working relationships with customers.
  • Hold regular meetings with project team leaders and team members to ensure the project is on track.
  • Support project managers in planning activities and tracking progress against the plan.
  • Provide technical governance to the engineering team and ensure technical aspects of the project comply with the QMS.
  • Ensure the quality representative has RFT data, reviews the processed results, and ensures corrective actions are communicated to team members.
  • Support project managers on continual risk assessments during the project lifecycle.
  • Work with the team to identify, develop, test, and deliver cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure task initiation forms are complete and distributed to team members, where appropriate.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where people feel valued for their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct annual and mid-term appraisals and maintain constructive feedback throughout the year.
Requirements:
  • Experience of marine hardware, systems requirements, and standards.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams to deliver complex multi-functional projects.
  • Strong engineering background for the capabilities listed.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing engineering role.
  • Marine defence experience preferred.
