About the Role:

We are currently working with a Local Authority in the North-West who are recruiting for a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to support their busy team. The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £50-£60 per hour, but is negotiable based on PQE and candidate expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of approximately 10 and advising clients on Adult Social Care matters across the Council
  • Supervising 2 solicitors within the team
  • Acting in court of protection matters
  • Preparing and representing the organisation in court of protection matters
  • Advising on all aspects of adult safeguarding law
  • Advising on plans and assessments for vulnerable adults
  • Advising on the duties of the organisation under the Care Act

Requirements:

  • Strong Adult Social Care experience
  • Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX

Working Hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
