Role DescriptionOur Landscape, Masterplanning, and Urbanism (LMU) team is seeking a highly experienced Landscape Architect to join our growing team with a strong focus on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA/TVIA) projects. Our team of 90+ professionals offers the full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services, ranging from strategic planning and design concept development to detailed implementation and Environmental Assessment.
As part of our Environmental team, you will contribute to improving quality of life. Your expertise in environmental management, technical skills, or sustainability knowledge could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise mitigation. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most significant projects in diverse locations.

Role AccountabilitiesAs part of our team, you will have a primary focus on LVIA/TVIA projects. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including our sector-leading in-house environmental disciplines and high-profile designers, as well as external partners. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's largest, most complex, and technically demanding projects, such as major energy generation and transmission projects, important residential and mixed-use developments, and significant infrastructure projects.
Our portfolio also includes exciting smaller projects, offering a rich and varied range of clients at national and local levels, across both the private and public sectors. You will be challenged and inspired by projects that demand innovative ideas and solutions. Collaboration is key to our success, allowing us to work with talented colleagues who bring fresh perspectives. Qualifications & Experience- Demonstrable experience leading the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs, landscape character assessments, and other related studies, delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
- Proven experience in delivering LVIA/TVIAs across a wide range of sectors, including residential development, transport, and energy infrastructure projects.
- Experience in direct client involvement and broad stakeholder engagement throughout the preparation of LVIAs/TVIAs.
- Experience managing staff and commercial resources in project delivery.
- Preferred experience with Town and Country Planning (T&CP) and Development Consent Orders (DCO) applications, including the examination process. Expert witness experience would be advantageous.
