Job Title: Dermatology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Specialist to join our team at National Locums. As a key member of our community-based dermatology service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care and administration for managing a dermatology caseload.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with patients, carers, and interdisciplinary team members across care settings to maintain effective communication and exchange of information.
  • Undertake independent clinics alongside a supervising senior clinician, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care through planning, coordinating, delivery, and evaluation of clinics.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using email communication, word processing, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel databases.
  • Make decisions regarding patient care within clinical/professional guidelines and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote infection control, environmental safety, and risk management.
  • Undertake regular audits using research methodology to implement changes in practice and improve patient care.
  • Participate in reviewing policies and protocols related to the service.
Requirements:
  • Experience in dermatology nursing or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management principles.
