Position Overview:

A prominent construction firm is seeking a skilled Mobile BMS Service Engineer to operate across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and a commitment to excellence, particularly with systems such as Trend, Tridium, or Distech.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant should ideally hold a relevant qualification such as City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ in Electrical Engineering, along with a strong desire to advance in the BMS field. Proficiency in reading and interpreting Electrical and Mechanical schematic diagrams is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum
24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Variable annual bonus ranging from 5-15%

Key Responsibilities:

The Mobile BMS Service Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks at contracted client sites, including:
  • Installation, configuration, and commissioning of BMS components and systems, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and software.
  • Conducting maintenance checks on BMS systems from Trend, Tridium, and Distech.
  • Participating in a reactive call-out rota, with additional financial incentives for on-call duties.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to clients regarding their BMS systems.
  • Identifying and proposing improvements to enhance BMS performance for clients.
  • Preparing proposals and quotations for required works.

Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ in Electrical Engineering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in BMS and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara, Distech, and Siemens.
  • Strong understanding of the electrical industry.
  • Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of IT networks.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in controls training and fault finding in electrical panels.
  • Strong report writing skills.
