Join Our Team as a Practice Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team at Willows Health, the largest primary care provider in Leicester. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role

As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, screening, treating, and educating patients in a primary care setting. You will work closely with a team of experienced GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, Specialist Nurses, and Practice Nurses to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and screen patients to identify their health needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide nursing care to patients in a primary care setting, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients on self-care
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to diagnose, monitor, manage, and treat long-term conditions
  • Proactively identify and manage patients at risk of developing long-term conditions
  • Support patients in adopting health promotion strategies and managing their health needs
  • Participate in vaccination and immunization programs for adults and children
  • Deliver evidence-based care for patients presenting with aural conditions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience as a Practice Nurse in a primary care setting
  • NMC registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
