Job Title: Class 1 Relief Night Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Relief Night Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Class 1 (CE) licensed vehicle, with a valid CPC card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Deliver goods to customers across the Midlands, Birmingham, Telford, and Burntwood, using a range of trailers, including fridges and double deck trailers.
  • Perform shunting tasks as required, and interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Communicate regularly with the transport team to ensure seamless operations and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions to maintain and improve your skills.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, to meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of operating fridge trailers is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Good geographical knowledge and a strong understanding of the UK road network.
