Job Title: Distribution Shift Manager

Brakes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Shift Manager to join our Transport Team at our Brakes Depot in Portbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our driver colleagues, ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and workforce, and maintaining our reliable reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate driver colleagues to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of fleet operations and performance
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving fleet efficiency and reducing costs
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in a transport or logistics role, preferably in a management capacity
  • Knowledge of transport regulations and company policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
