Manufacturing Engineer

Join Nicholas Associates as a Manufacturing Engineer and take on a challenging role in our Liverpool-based manufacturing facility.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the development and introduction of standard operating procedures and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and production processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Define requirements and create specifications for new equipment to ensure seamless integration into our production processes.
- Ensure error proofing is effective to minimize defects and waste.
- Integrate new equipment into production processes to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Drive standardization projects to improve consistency and quality across our manufacturing operations.
- Manage and control all documentation related to production processes and equipment.
- Assess and select equipment suppliers to ensure correct specification and quality.
- Assess alternative manufacturing practices to optimize space constraints, material requirements, and energy performance.
- Focus on OEE improvements to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Produce product and process reports to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to drive value stream improvements and optimize production processes.
What We Offer:
- An attractive salary in the range of £50,000 - £55,000.

Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills with a target-driven approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently, and within a team.
- Ability to use problem-solving tools and work with stakeholders on solutions to problems.
- Excellent skills in MS Office and communication to all levels of the business.
- Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of Lean manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Flexible approach with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- A relevant Engineering degree or demonstrable industrial knowledge and experience will be considered.
- CNC Machining experience beneficial.
- IATF Knowledge.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- An ability to work well under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant technical knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Efficiency and organisation.
- Teamworking skills.
- Strong ability to learn.
