Special Care Baby Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a Neonatal Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care to preterm and sick infants in our Neonatal Unit, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their child's hospital stay.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that each patient receives individualized and compassionate care.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- 6 months experience working with infants in a neonatal unit (essential)
- Newly qualified with interest in neonatal career (essential)
- 6 months paediatric experience (desirable)
- RN(C)/RN(A) qualification (essential)
- Willingness to undertake administration of intravenous drugs within 6 months (essential)
- Commitment to continuing education (essential)
- Post-registration qualification in neonatal specialist area (desirable)
