TYPE: This is a FULL TIME, PERMANENT JOB OPPORTUNITY

LOCATION: Covering sites across central belt of Scotland, based in the West Of Scotland

SALARY: This GENUINELY will depend on the level the individual is at in their career so £ £60000

Remuneration:

For less experienced Surveyor looking for next move up £40,000 - £50,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus.
For more experienced surveyor £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus



OVERVIEW
A large, highly successful and well-established construction and civil engineering firm is expanding once again.

They are looking to add one more Quantity Surveyor to their team of six, due to significant business and contract awards.


Industry Sector:
Groundworks, Civil Engineering, House Building.

Location:
Office in Glasgow where the Quantity Surveyor will be based. The role will likely involve approximately 60% office work and 40% site visits.

Sites range from Ayrshire, throughout Central Scotland, and up to Fife and Perth and Kinross, with a smaller presence beyond the Edinburgh bypass.


The role of the Quantity Surveyor will involve:

Managing the commercial aspects of various civil and groundwork projects, including but not limited to earthworks, sewer installation, roads, and hard landscaped finishes for developers, house builders, and local authorities.


  • Manage month-end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales
  • Identify variations, communicate to clients, and obtain cost approval
  • Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents
  • Produce P&L reports for all projects
  • Manage sub-contractors
  • Attend site for internal/external meetings including site measures
  • Work on projects ranging in value from £20K to £20M

The ideal applicant will be a Fully Qualified Quantity Surveyor with:

  • Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
  • Confident relationship builder
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Good financial and numerical skills
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
  • Familiar with cost reporting & valuations
  • Full UK driving license
