We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Commercial team based in Warwick.

 

Location: Warwick – hybrid working available, with travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial Team supporting on our Canal and River Trust Framework, assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety

Your day to day will include:

  • Monitor cashflow, preparation of cost forecasts for projects and assist with the preparation of CVRs.
  • Analyse cost data to ensure accurate reporting, prepare client applications for payments and final accounts.
  • Subcontract management (including drafting subcontracts, raising orders, measure and value works, processing payments, preparation of final accounts)
  • Issue documents/communications within contractual timescales, and maximise margin on projects and support the achievement of the project's budgeted profitability.
  • Develop and build relationships with the client and key subcontractors and keep the Managing Quantity Surveyor and relevant Project Managers informed of all relevant commercial issues.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have previous experience of preparing final accounts to specific deadlines and understand how to prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Knowledge to how to interpret and collate financial data.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly excel.
