CNC Laser Operator Location: Wellingborough Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 16:30 | Friday, 07:30 12:30 Salary: £28,400 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) Company Overview Our client is a well-established fabrication and precision engineering company based in Wellingborough, renowned for producing high-quality components and delivering exceptional craftsmanship across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join their production team. Role Overview As a CNC Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision components to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various materials, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut and profile components according to technical drawings and job specifications. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards. Perform machine maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and routine checks. Optimise cutting programs to maximise material usage and minimise waste. Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading products. Work collaboratively with the production and engineering teams to meet daily production targets. Ensure a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with company health & safety standards. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (e.g. Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada, or similar). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. Experience working with various materials (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, etc.). Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic understanding of maintenance procedures and machine troubleshooting.
