Vehicle Technician - Hatfield | Prestige Automotive Brand We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join one of the worlds most iconic and prestigious automotive brands at their state-of-the-art facility in Hatfield. Requirements: Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (or equivalent qualification) Previous experience working within a franchised or prestige automotive dealership Full UK Drivers Licence The Role: As a Vehicle Technician, youll play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing vehicles renowned for their engineering excellence and performance. Youll work closely with a professional Service Team to diagnose faults, carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure all work meets the manufacturers premium standards. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment Carry out service and repair work across a diverse, high-performance vehicle range Conduct road tests to confirm repair quality and vehicle performance Maintain accurate records of all work completed, parts used, and any issues identified Communicate effectively with the Service Team and customers regarding findings and recommendations Adhere to all safety, quality, and brand service standards Keep up to date with the latest automotive technologies and repair procedures Minimum Qualifications & Skills: Full (Category B) driving licence, ideally held for a minimum of two years Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence Proven experience within a franchised dealership environment Excellent mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills A strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering work to premium standards Desirable Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 Diploma in Auto-Electrical and Mobile Electrical Operations Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement Experience working with luxury or high-performance vehicles Whats on Offer: Competitive base salary plus monthly performance bonuses Guaranteed bonus during the first three months of employment Clear salary progression linked to training and accreditation with the brand 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus additional days for long service Fixed working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00am-1:00pm) Preferential vehicle lease scheme Discounts on a wide range of retail, leisure, and lifestyle products Life assurance and pension scheme Employee Assistance Programme with wellbeing support Dedicated mental health champions and employee representation body Full branded uniform provided, including premium workwear and safety equipment Location: The Hatfield site is a modern, purpose-built facility with free on-site parking and excellent staff amenities, including refurbished communal areas with social spaces and recreational facilities.
