HGV Technician Essex £50,000 basic Overtime paid at 1.5x, 28 days holiday, sick pay and more Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop HGV Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a fleet of over 30 vehicles in a professional and dynamic environment. If you are passionate about vehicle maintenance and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a fleet of over 30 HGV vehicles. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently. Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent. Collaborate with the team to ensure the fleet operates at optimal performance levels. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times. Qualifications NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification is essential. Proven experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work. Day-to-Day Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on HGVs to minimize downtime. Perform diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with the team to prioritize and complete tasks. Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legal and safety standards before returning to service. Participate in overtime opportunities as required, with overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of £20 per hour. Overtime availability paid at 1.5x the standard rate. 28 days of holiday entitlement. Sick pay provided.
