Position: Mechanical Fitter Location: Bristol Working Hours: Rotating shifts, 5 days on, 2 days off Hourly Rate: £19.28 per hour Welcome to Rocket Engineering We are working with a large bus operator and our engineering teams are working at the forefront of bus technology. Nationwide, we are investing in state-of-the-art new buses, and in the workshops and people that service them. We will support your ongoing development and provide a career path to follow. About the role Our engineers play a key role in making that happen. Were currently looking for a proactive and skilled PSV Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team, supporting operations across our Bristol depots. What youll be doing: Youll be responsible fordiagnosing faults, carrying out servicing, and completing vehicle repairs, including preparing vehicles for MOTs Engineering Operating Procedures. Safety and compliance are central to what we do, so youll also follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation and Group policies. Were also looking for someone who: Is committed to maintaining high technical standards and open to developing their skills with us Is prepared to work shifts on a 5 days on / 2 days off pattern Understands that some overtime may be required to meet operational needs About you Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) qualification? Do you have a flexible approach to working hours? An aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team Must have a full UK driving license A PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence is essential as we will help you obtain your PCV Experience of working with coaches would be advantageous, but not a necessity.
