Tasks

Finance Management

  • Use Xero: Create and send invoices, and cross-check financial data.
  • Cash Flow Management: Chase up and manage ageing debt, working with current customers to keep cash flow healthy. Maintain correspondence through emails and calls to provide accurate ETAs on overdue balances and work to reduce them.
  • Reporting: Run basic finance reports and present data to the wider team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to support the finance function within the business.

Operations Management

  • Order Management: Handle order releases, contract drawdowns, and dispatch orders to roasters from the warehouse.
  • Shipping Coordination: Organise shipping logistics and manage ad hoc requests efficiently.
  • Customer Support: Address general customer inquiries related to the coffees they are buying, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Process Management: Ensure all processes are carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • General Sales Support: Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, customer follow-ups, and preparing sales materials.
  • Office Administration: Perform various office administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Accounting: Basic understanding of accounting software and core accounting principles.
  • Understanding of Coffee: An understanding of coffee and the coffee landscape is beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills. Proficiency in using technology for financial tasks. Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Willingness to Learn: No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and take on new tasks is essential.
