We are working with a large sized, award-winning engineering consultancy specialising in Building Services who are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Manchester.

Our client has a wealth of experience and have built a reputation for innovative design and sustainable solutions that enhance the built environment. Their team of passionate professionals work on a diverse range of projects, from iconic landmarks to cutting-edge developments.

Tasks
  • Lead and manage electrical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet the highest technical and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the MEP Projects team to develop integrated design solutions that align with the project's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct detailed electrical calculations, system design, and specifications to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress and design recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and standards to ensure designs are compliant and incorporate the latest technologies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a strong background in building services.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient design practices is highly desirable.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., IET, CIBSE) is an advantage.
