**IT Analyst - Medical Research Laboratory**

Altum are proud to be working with a leading medical research organisation that is renowned for helping scientists and organisations turn their research into treatments and diagnostics for patients. They are pioneering bleeding edge research and technologyto turn great science in to greater patient impact.

They are currently engaging in an IT transformation process with new cloud-based, Big Data and machine learning projects, and this role offers exposure to bleeding edge technology, including but not limited to the likes of AlphaFold, VR, DeepMind, NeuralNetworking, and more.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Delivering outstanding onsite support and assistance to lab-based colleagues in a proactive, flexible, and constructive way.
- Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents for internal users.
- Ensuring feedback related to IT issues is provided in a timely manner to all requesters.
- Providing hands-on support to the Stevenage lab (onsite) and remote support to the Edinburg and Crick Lab as and when required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Two or more years in 2nd line support.
- Linux Admin and support skills minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Good experience in using MS Azure, MS Office 365, and Freshdesk and Agresso is ideal.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of technical expertise and seniority, inside and outside the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in Life Sciences / Pharma/ Biotech - highly desirable.
