Sen Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at one of our partner specialist schools in the north Dorset area. This is a truly rewarding role where you will be able to support pupils at every stage of their schooling withacademic, personal and pastoral needs.
The school is an “Outstanding” provision for pupils with needs including autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. They offer a dynamic, personalised curriculum that fosters creativity and development, based on the National Curriculum and incorporatingplenty of activities.
The school has small class sizes and a high staff: pupil ratio.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers to deliver highly personalised inclusive lessons.
- Willingness to develop a good understanding of the school’s curriculum.
- Working closely with other professionals and families.
- Supporting the creation of a climate for success for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to learn and develop.
- A resilient and instinctive approach in meeting pupils’ needs.
Requirements for the role:
- GCSE (C or above) Maths and English.
- Ability to work flexibly, throughout the whole school, meeting the needs of pupils in a range of contexts.
- Have a passion for working with children in education.
- Have a Child Only DBS or be willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
