On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Managerfor a 6 month contract (strong possibility of extension) based in either Leeds/York offices

Arup are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Arup are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager in conjunction with senior members across multidisciplinaryteams, the requirements are as follows:

- Risk analysis
- Value Management
- Procurement strategy advice
- Tendering and procurement
- Contract advice
- Post contract commercial control and delivery
- Whole Life Cost Analysis

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:

- Demonstrable experience of delivering commercial services throughout the project lifecycle
- Analysis experience with large data sets e.g. through benchmarking.
- Experience of providing strategic advisory services preferred or experience of advising at senior levels of an organisation
- Experience of Whole Life Cost analysis and an understanding of sustainability in the built environment
- Proven ability to work with clients in complex programme environments
- Knowledge and understanding of development processes for major projects
- Demonstrable experience of enabling cross function knowledge and learning
- Excellent people skills demonstrated through working collaboratively with clients and contractor
- Interact effectively across the organisation, completing complex professional level tasks for others to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet customer expectations;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software Excel/Word/PowerPoint);
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Preferably, familiar with consultancy and the discipline of booking time to projects
- Flexible approach including a willingness and ability to work on a wide range of topics.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in the infrastructure, transport and energy sectors preferred. However, we are interested in relevant and broader experience.
- Client facing.
- Experienced in client care.
- Wider industry interest and awareness.
- Inquiring, open-minded approach.
- Looks to the future, has opinions on development of services.
- Collaborative team-player with ability to operate independently when required.
- Excellent communication skills.
