**WHAT TO EXPECT**

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Lead the EP CAD “Community of Practice” ensuring consistent best practices are shared and applied across EP (e.g. GD &T, datum controls, mass & inertia, clash checks & BOM management). Ensure the necessary skills and knowledge are in place through mentoring and training. Act as a single point of contact for all new CAD processes (e.g. AVA), ensuring they are scoped and prioritised
- Provide technical leadership and resource for the delivery of Geometric Integration
- Develop the role out strategy for design processes such as MBD
- Provide specialist skills support either through training and / or deploying resource on a sprint-by-sprint basis
- Manage the development of apprentices through their early careers, ensuring structure personal development plans are in place and executed
- Lead a team of circa 12 engineers across multiple sites, based both on and offshore to deliver bespoke CAD support

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

**Essential**:

- Experience using CAD tools such as 3DEx / Catia
- Good knowledge of automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness
- An ability to communicate a technical vision to the wider team in order to drive toward a unified set of objectives
- Able to coach and mentor teams and individuals, engaging the larger teams in the transformation occurring within the business
- Ability to explain complex ideas, confidently presenting these to senior stakeholders using presentation or other tools as required
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience

**Desirable**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical and business information across all levels in the organisation
- Strong leadership in the deployment of problem resolution methods
- In-depth knowledge CAD best practices (GD&T, MBD)
- Experience operating inside an Agile framework (SCRUM) is desirable
