UKG provides guardianship and education services throughout the UK. We are a small, friendly and dedicated team of professionals, committed to providing a high-quality service. We are currently looking for a Chinese speaking Guardianship Coordinator to be the main contact between UKG and our international students and their parents.

The majority of our students are under-18. UKG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times while they are under our care and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Liaising with students on a daily basis. They are international students mainly from China and Taiwan who are studying in UK schools.
- Liaising with parents.
- Liaising with school staff.
- Ensuring all students understand and follow the schools’ and UKG’s rules.
- Looking out for the safeguarding and welfare of students.
- Updating the student log and database daily.
- Various administrative duties.
- Visiting students, schools and homestays as and when needed.
- Organising and running occasional student activities.
- Arranging homestays and transfers for students.
- Translating school reports into Chinese and various other translations.
- Updating Chinese social media accounts.
- Possession of a company mobile phone.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**We are looking for someone with**:

- High organisational skills and ability to manage a number of projects at the same time.
- Strong motivation to work with children and ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Strong communication and customer care skills.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- A team player with a high level of dedication.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Responsible and reliable with a positive attitude.
- Good written and verbal English and Chinese.
- Right to work in the UK.

If you are shortlisted, any relevant issues arising from your references will be taken up at interview. You will also be tested and asked about the above skills during the 2nd interview.
