'**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Service Schedules**: Adhere to service schedules and follow maintenance checklists to ensure comprehensive and thorough servicing of the cranes.
**Maintenance and Repairs**: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile cranes to ensure their reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.
- **Fault Diagnosis**: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in cranes, employing sound technical knowledge to identify and rectify problems efficiently.
- **Part Replacement**: Replace faulty or worn-out parts with new ones, ensuring the use of high-quality components to maintain the crane's integrity.
- **Testing and Calibration**: Conduct testing and calibration procedures on crane components, such as load limiters and safety devices, to verify accurate functioning.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including service reports, parts used, and any additional recommendations.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- **Preventive Measures**: Implement preventive maintenance measures to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance proactively.
- **Workshop Organisation**: Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, ensuring proper storage of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members, including crane operators and supervisors, to coordinate maintenance activities and address operational needs.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Heavy Plant Experience**: Substantial experience in maintaining and servicing heavy plant machinery, preferably including mobile cranes.
- **Mechanical Aptitude**: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components, with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
- **Technical Training**: Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in heavy plant mechanics or a related field are advantageous.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
- **Safety Focus**: A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the safe operation of the cranes.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and thorough maintenance procedures.
- **Organisational Skills**: Excellent organisational skills to manage work orders, spare parts inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- **Team Player**: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
Pay: £14.50-£17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
