Are you an established Drivers Mate, with experience of delivering furniture to customer’s premises? If the answer to these questions is yes then read on as we are currently recruiting Drivers Mates to join us working on our contract delivering products on behalf of our client IKEA from our base in Medway.

Due to the location and limited public transport, own transport is prefered.

Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Porter to join us on a full-time, permanent basis for our Ikea contract based in Medway until May 2023. We will then be moving to our brand-new state of the art depot in Dartford, DA1 5PZ, which all our colleagues will be based at.

The role is full-time, and you will be working any 4 from 7 shift pattern, on a 40-hour contract, overtime is available on top of this. The salary for this role is £20,633. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Loading and unloading stock to the customer's room of choice
- Delivering stock and accurately checking it off
- All 2-person deliveries carrying large flat-pack furniture
- Some of the items you deliver will require heavy lifting

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Excellent customer services skills
- Ideally, prior experience in a drivers mate role
- A good telephone manner as you will be calling customers while on route
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
