A Specialist School located in Oxford City Centre are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis immediately. The role will involve working in a small class of SEN pupils age 5 to 11, who may have ASD, ADHD, down syndrome, learningdifficulties or physical disabilities.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will provide support both 1:1 and on a group-basis under the guidance of the class teacher. You will help track the progress made by each child, helping them meet new milestones and help manage their behaviour. You will helpbuild each pupils life skills, provide social and emotional support, and above everything else, make school an exciting and safe place.

Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs is desired - this can be professional or personal experience. However, personality is most important - if you are caring, understanding, patient and ready for a challenge thenthe school wants to hear from you

The Primary SEN School have fantastic resources for the pupils, with sensory rooms and a large play area. The school also has on-site parking and easy access to local transport, and has been praised by OFSTED for its innovative and creative learning environment.
