We intend to appoint an outstanding Professor with a world-leading track record of research in Historical Theology and Constructive Dogmatics to our Department in order to enhance our provision and reputation in the field of Systematic Theology.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in Systematic Theology and will have a strong record of publication in monographs and peer-reviewed international journals (with a particular focus on the modern, continental tradition). S/he will have experience of teaching in the areas of Historical Theology and Constructive Dogmatics. S/he will experience of teaching at all levels of the curriculum, and an extensive record of successful supervision of PhD students.

The successful applicant will have authored world-leading research publications in the areas of historical theology (with a particular focus on the modern, continental tradition) and constructive dogmatics. The successful applicant will have the potential to enhance interaction with the Philosophy department, and to contribute significantly to the work of the Centre for Protestant Theology. S/he will possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

The successful applicant will have a strong international profile and will exhibit a demonstrable commitment to issues of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
