**Your role as a Duty Security Officer...**
- Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
- Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
- Actively monitor the CCTV system and ensure to be fully compliant with the Data Protection Act regarding CCTV.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Maintain radio contact with the Front Desk/Night Manager at all times.
- Be proficient in obtaining witness statements, writing incident and accident reports.
- Carry out administrative duties including maintaining accurate logs, records and notebooks.
- Maintain and review daily activity log.
- Ensure that any items being removed from the Hotel are checked, pass-outs are processed correctly, with any discrepancies referred and/or any items withheld as deemed appropriate.
- Initiate investigations or where appropriate personally carry out an investigation ensuring clear, concise and accurate documentations are taken and communicated to the Safety & Security Manager and Rooms Division Director.
- To ensure a full and detailed hand over is carried with colleagues at the end and beginning of each shift
- To record and report all security related issues directly to the Safety & Security Manager
- Assist in the liaison between security, hotel staff and the contractors or deliveries
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and co-workers.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Follow company’s and departmental policies and procedures.
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and co-workers.
- Responsible for preventing avoidable loss to the hotel, guests and colleagues, whilst aiming to provide a hazard free environment for both guests and colleagues.
- Assist hotel staff in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbance, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures.

**A bit about you..**
- Valid SIA Licence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to easily multitask.
- Fluent English (verbal & written).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage resources.
- Eye for detail
- Relevant Health and Safety Knowledge
- Computer Literacy Skills
