Accounts Assistant - Nelson

A great opportunity for an accounts assistant with a successful manufacturing business in the Nelson area. This is a newly created position working closely with the Management accountant.

Duties will include;
The Role:

- Processing purchase invoices (100+ per week)
- Assisting with data Inputting of weekly stock figures and adjustments in the system and investigating variances
- Checking pricing & Investigating discrepancies
- Raising inter-company recharge invoices
- Weekly GRNI (goods received not invoiced) reconciliation
- Entering purchase orders, chasing up pricing and volumes
- Raising credit notes
- Assisting with journal entries (prepayments & accruals/salary/petty cash, credit card)
- Managing petty cash
- Supplier statement recs and setting up suppliers & customers
- Sending statements to customers and remittances
- Helping with product code set ups/pricing and maintenance
- Data Inputting of costing information in excel
- Weekly sales reporting using excel and pivot tables
- Cover for weekly accounts process in the absence of management accountant

Ideal opportunity for an individual studying there AAT or an accounts clerk keen to take on more responsibility.
